Jon deRidder studied Organizational Management at Colorado Christian University, has served in various leadership positions over the past 15 years and has a deeply rooted passion to serve others. Jon’s aim is to perfect the “service approach” working to guide customers through the complex and elusive challenges facing data center environments. Jon brings experience from having worked with over 200 data center clients and a significant network of influencers. Jon is gifted at ensuring that the most important issues facing our customers are uncovered, discussed, well understood and solved. Jon’s many industry-specific speaking engagements include AFCOM, AFEC, ASHRAE, BOMA, CAPRE, EPA and the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
DP Guardian’s founder, Jay Hagen, grew up in Mason City, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1980. Following 12 years in the bustling Southern California marketplace, Jay moved to Colorado in 1992, where he started DP Guardian, filling the need for proper cleaning and maintenance in computer and telecom facilities throughout the western US. As DPG’s first employee, Jay developed the company into a full-scale data center services and products company. He has witnessed the unprecedented evolution of computer facilities and their infrastructure – including technological advances and the skyrocketing cost of downtime – and has continued to innovate solutions to avoid downtime risks. In his spare time, Jay enjoys bicycling, competitive league tennis, and traveling with his wife, Lisa, and his daughter, Vanessa.
Shawn Boltin spent his early years in Missouri and Kansas. Post high school, he enlisted in the Navy, stationed at Port Loma onboard the USS Dixon (AS-37). His Navy expertise led to a commercial job calibrating precision instruments. After mastering electronics and computer repair, Shawn became a Computer Field Technician in SoCal, then moved to Houston. From 1992 – 2005, Shawn held various computer industry roles, leading to designing networks for (HP) large data centers. After earning his RCDD certification, Commscope and The Siemon Company were his next stints in Technical and Regional Sales roles. Shawn joined DPG in late 2020 to lead our data center installation projects team. He enjoys helping customers with their security caging, thermal containment, and connectivity needs. Outside of work, Shawn and wife, Rosie, spend time hiking with their dogs or kayaking. Visits from their grown daughter, Daniella, are always welcomed.
Peter joined the DPG team in mid-April 2021 to grow data center product sales as well as to lead the company’s Marketing efforts. He spent the prior 15 years at Vertiv Corp, a leading global manufacturer of critical infrastructure products and services for data center customers, most recently as West Region Sales Director. A long-time resident of the People’s Republic of Boulder, Peter and spouse Jane have 2 grown children and 3 young grandchildren. His favorite role ever is being a Grandpa! Peter, wife Jane, son Mickey, and daughter Leigh are all proud graduates of the University of Colorado. Go Buffs!
Matt has 27 years accounting experience, with 18 years serving as the Controller. He earned a BA in Economics from Denison University and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati. Most of his career has been in developing and maintaining accounting systems and procedures for the small businesses of which he was a part. He has great experience with managing the cash flow of growing small businesses, has been responsible for banking relationships and securing financing. When not working, Matt enjoys cooking above his talent level and home improvement projects.
Katrina (Kat) Hilinski opens the line of communication between clients, customers, and businesses to get projects done. With over 20 years in both public and private sectors, Kat has experience in administration, coordination, HR, program implementation, and company collaboration. She has managed projects at Air Methods, Thyssenkrupp Elevator, and now here at DP Guardian. When not working, Katrina enjoys weekend concerts, ballgames and the theater with her husband as well as spending time with her three grandchildren.
Randy is the DPG operations department supervisor and has been with DP Guardian since 2007. She has been in customer service for over 30 years, and in that time has received several service awards for outstanding customer service. Randy has four children and seven grandchildren. During her non-working hours she enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies.
Kristen Jones provides expert administrative support to the various DPG Operations and Sales teams. She helps to establish and maintain organized and efficient processes to ensure our various services are delivered with excellence. On the side, Kristen is finishing up a Master's degree in Linguistics at Trinity Western University. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and exploring the majestic peaks of Colorado.
Terry joined DPG in June of 2021 to manage the myriad of details with our Installation Services projects. He earned a BS in Computer Networking from Regis University and a Masters certificate in project management from CSUGlobal. His career has been focused on keeping IT customers content and engaged while growing critical infrastructure. In his spare time, Terry enjoys hiking in the mountains of the western US.
Stephanie Carpino studied Accounting at CSU. She has 8 years of accounting, HR and administrative experience in the medical field. She strives to help companies thrive while building bonded teams. When she’s not working, Stephanie enjoys taking her children to the zoo, and making memories with her family

Kellen Troino is a technically minded problem solver who has served in various leadership roles over a 15+ year career. He spent his early years in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Electrician and followed up his enlistment by completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Thomas Edison State University. Kellen operates with a customer-first approach and is motivated by his desire to help others achieve their goals.
Barb Gilmore joined the DPG Team as Director, Organization and Administration, in January 2023. She has 20 plus years’ experience in Information Technology and leading large projects, most recently in HealthCare. Having worked with large, mature organizations for most of her career Barb is an expert at helping DPG improve our internal and customer-facing processes. She is enjoying contributing to the exciting world of Data Center Innovation that happens every day at DP Guardian. Barb is a team player with a positive attitude and tireless energy. With her“can-do-attitude” she is always ready to embrace any challenging assignment.

Greg Davis grew up in Charlotte, N.C. and at the age of 25 moved to Colorado. After multiple jobs, Greg found himself working for a filter company and began learning the ins and outs of the HVAC world. After 15 years of sales and understanding the importance of quality filtration, he decided to make a career change. In the fall of 2022 Greg joined the DP Guardian team. With his knowledge of filtration and his passions for customer relationships and problem solving, DPG proved to be a perfect fit. When not working Greg loves hanging with his wife Stacie and their 2 young boys, Tyler and Dylan. He also enjoys hiking, camping, live music, golf/folf, fishing and long walks on the beach, in fact, pretty much anything outside.

Jason joined DP Guardian with a long history of Critical Infrastructure Engineering experience. With expertise in both data center operations and in the intricacies of maintaining crucial environments, he is skilled at navigating growth while sustaining business continuity. Jason is an entrepreneur at heart. While a young boy Jason spent his summer weekends on the golf course at the 8th-hole water hazard, selling replacement golf balls to countless duffers. The golf ball earnings enabled him to buy a t-shirt business which he successfully operated throughout high school. In turn, those t-shirt earnings paid for his entire college education! Jason graduated from Colorado State with honors and next developed his skills as a journeyman electrician, finally leading him to the data center industry. In his free time, Jason enjoys family activities, riding mountain bikes, playing guitar, or reading.

Dylan was hired as our first Salt Lake City based employee. During his first year with DPG, we’ve sent him on projects in WA, HI, AK, CA, VA, and CO, as well as in his homestate of UT. Recently promoted to Project Manager/Engineer, Dylan is a versatile, young talent. He loves to develop trust and open communications with our customers to ensure that DPG provides the services they really need. In his “spare time” he is working on his ME undergraduate degree at the University of Utah. Dylan is married to wife Nina, and they are now happy parents of a young son, born in August 2022.
Patrick studied Computer Information Systems at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His career to date has been varied and wide-ranging, including positions in retail, aircraft ground services, armored cars, law enforcement, and data centers - first as a technician, and now in project management. A lifelong learner, Patrick is eternally curious about anything and everything. He honed his cooking skills during the COVID lockdown and now actually enjoys whipping up delicious meals. In his spare time, Patrick loves to tinker with IT related side projects
Kaeley, born and raised in Colorado, is a recent graduate of Dean College in MA, where she earned a degree in Dance Education with a minor in Psychology. She recently joined the DPG team as an assistant for our Operations team but has quickly become indispensable in all aspects of the company. Her great attitude and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed are valuable assets in a growing business. Kaeley is currently helping with our marketing and event planning efforts in addition to her primary responsibilities. Outside of work she loves teaching dance to toddlers and volunteering with kids with special needs. One of Kaeley’s goals for the future is to open a rehabilitation program for children with disabilities
