Critical Cleaning

Subfloor Cleaning

The subfloor must be "free" of contaminates and dust, especially when used to deliver cool air to sensitive electronic equipment. Airborne particulate may be conductive, abrasive or corrosive – all potentially harmful to today's computing equipment.

While cleaning the subfloor, our technicians are trained to be alert for potential vulnerabilities such as environmental, structural or cabling issues.

Concrete dust contains lime and alkali; two corrosive and potentially harmful contaminates when airborne. DP Guardian can test the concrete slab to determine if it is sealed to keep these contaminates from becoming airborne. It is recommended that concrete slabs are sealed prior to a data center going "live". However, DP Guardian is experienced in sealing concrete slabs in "live" data centers without compromising uptime.
